Join the Government Relations Committee in a tour of the Iowa State Capitol! This event is free, however registration is required. The tour will begin promptly at 2:30pm and will last approximately 90 minutes. Please arrive by 2:15pm to check in for the tour. We will view the legislative chambers, visit the beautiful law library, and will be given the opportunity to walk up to the balcony of the dome.

Attendees will meet at the Iowa State Capitol and public entrances are located on the ground floor on the south and west sides of the building.

Tour participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult, supervisor, parent, or guardian and cannot be left alone with a tour guide during the tour.

All Ankeny Southview 9th graders will participate in a job fair to explore part-time job opportunities, learn how to apply, and practice networking with employers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Ankeny-area businesses seeking part-time employees to connect with approximately 450 students.
If you hire students aged 14 and older and have part-time openings, we invite you to attend this inaugural event.
You will have a 6 ft. table to use. Please DO NOT bring swag. Instead bring materials that tell students about your part-time job opportunities and any resources they need to apply for your positions.

The eighth annual Fill the Fund fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, April 23 in Ankeny.

Fill the Fund is an event organized by the Wiedenman Family Foundation to benefit the Ankeny Community School District. Fill the Fund is a community-wide fundraiser to assist students with negative meal balances in the Ankeny Community School District.

Participating restaurants agree to donate a percentage of their profits on April 24 to the FUEL Fund, which helps cover negative lunch balances. Every student in Ankeny Schools is fed a daily lunch, regardless of the balance in their lunch account. Funds raised during Fill the Fund give access to a fundraised account for those students whose negative balances are greater than -$50. Once their account reaches that point, they can utilize this fundraised account so as not to incur additional debt while they work to pay off their existing balance.

The Wiedenman Family Foundation, a 501c3 tax exempt, non-profit organization was formed to undertake projects that will enhance Ankeny and the surrounding communities. Can’t make our evening out? You can also donate by check to the Wiedenman Family Foundation and mail it to PO Box 931, Ankeny, IA 50021.

The Fill the Fund campaign brings together the entire Ankeny community to raise money for school meals while supporting local businesses.
