Our theme for 2025 is "Celebrate Ankeny through the Decades" during the Ankeny Chamber SummerFest Grand Parade on Saturday, July 12, 2025, launching at 9 AM. Whether you are a spectator or want to participate in the parade, we are excited to bring a parade to our Ankeny community in 2025! This is the 150th anniversary of the City of Ankeny and the 60th Ankeny Chamber SummerFest! Come out to celebrate with the community.

Due to construction, we will be using a different route this year.

The 2025 Grand Parade route will begin at Southview Middle School on SW Cherry St., travel North to NW Ash Dr., turn East on 18th Street, and end at NW Briargate Dr. at the N. side of Northview Middle School.

To Register, each entry needs to provide proof of insurance certificate (Click for Insurance Requirements) and complete registration by the deadline of Tuesday, July 8th at end-of-day. No late registrations are accepted.

Judging occurs along the route and in the staging lot prior to launch. All decorated entries will be released sooner in the line-up. The winners will be announced on our website and will be awarded their trophies on stage at Ankeny Chamber SummerFest on Sunday, July 13th, at 4:30 PM.

It's game time! The Iowa Cubs will be playing the Indianapolis Indians, as you and your dog get to enjoy the game with other dogs and dog lovers from seats in our pet-friendly reserved section.

The game is at 6:38 p.m. (gates open one hour prior at 5:38 p.m.).

Dogs attend free with paid human admission. Each dog will receive a bandana and the opportunity to be involved in the dog parade (time is TBD) on the field before the game begins.

And check out the ARL table near the dog seating section to get your dog their very own Frosty Paws.
